Francis And Milei Meet

Argentina's President Javier Milei, 53, and Francis, 87, met for the first time on 11 February. After the Eucharist for the canonisation of Mama Antula, Argentina's first saint, Francis stopped in his wheelchair in St Peter's Basilica to say a few words and receive a big hug from Milei. The Vatican added that Milei and Francis had already met shortly before the Eucharist. The official audience will take place on Monday. During the election campaign, Milei called Francis an "imbecile", a "representative of the devil on earth" and a promoter of communism. St Peter's was far from being filled with pilgrims. Source
