Pope Francis Changes Church Law To Make It Easier To Get Out Of That Marriage! How Many Annulments Can You Get In A Year?

The three main changes announced on Tuesday are:

 • Eliminating a second review by a cleric before a marriage can be nullified.

 • Giving bishops the ability to fast-track and grant the annulments themselves in certain circumstances -- for example, when spousal abuse or an extramarital affair has occurred.

 • The process should be free, except for a nominal fee for administrative costs, and should be completed within 45 days.

  1. Pretty sure Henry VIII could have gotten one.

I wonder if you'll be allowed to get more than one annulment in a lifetime.

  2. I was wondering the same thing. Get annulment with in 45 days then get married then get another annulment after that you can probably get a couple of annulments in a years time!!

  3. I'm sure there are already people who have gotten multiple annulments in their life. Why would there be any lifetime limit?

  4. well there is at lease a yearly limit of 7x per year - one would have to wait 45 days after marriage to get an annulment so technically a person can get married up to seven times a year granted the marriage would last about a day or two then file the annulment and once the 45 days are up get married again and do the same....
