As of Sunday all of the above believe that Pope Benedict is still the Pope!
Well as of Monday.......Pope Benedict had this to say:
"I applaud this initiative that wants to oppose and contradict the foolish prejudice that views Pope Francis as a man lacking particular theological or philosophical formation, while I would have been only a theorist of theology who understood little of the concrete life of today's Christians." The pope emeritus adds that the volumes on Francis' thought, "demonstrate that the pope is a man of profound philosophical and theological formation and, therefore, this helps see the interior continuity between the two pontificates, even with all the differences of style and temperament."
